Banquet to honor Gallaghers, Page
LIMESTONE — Rotary Club and Chamber officials have announce that Limestone’s 2012 Citizens of the Year to be honored during the Recognition Banquet on Thursday, March 1 are long time residents Ronald and Barb Gallagher as well as Norman Page.
Event organizers encourage friends, well-wishers and community supporters to attend the banquet to congratulate the new Citizens of the Year during the celebration at the Loring Job Corps Ball Room, located in the Community Center. The event begins at 5:30 with social hour, dinner will be served at 6 p.m.
Tickets are $15 per person and must be purchased in advance at either Al-Bear’s Place (325-2114) in downtown Limestone or at the Limestone Town Office (325-4704).
Deadline closing for nominations
CARIBOU — Jenny Coon, director of the Caribou Area Chamber of Commerce is reminding everyone that today, Feb. 29 is the deadline for nominating an individual or business to be considered for recognition as Business or Citizen of the Year; or the Spirit of Caribou Award.
There are no entry forms necessary for nominations. Nominations can be faxed to 492-1362; e-mailed to cacc@cariboumaine.net or cariboumaine.net; or just dropped them off at the chamber office located at 657 Main Street in Caribou.
The annual Chamber Recognition Dinner will be held on Friday, May 4, at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center.
