HASLAM, C.H. Brent, 74, CARIBOU, February 15, 2012. At Brent’s request, there will be a committal service in the spring at All Saints Cemetery in Clifton Royal, New Brunswick. Arrangements in care of Lancaster-Morgan Funeral Home, Caribou.
CARIBOU – C.H. Brent Haslam, 74, passed away on Wednesday, February 15, 2012, at the Maine Veterans Home in Caribou. Brent was born in Westfield, New Jersey to Marcella (Dunn) and John Cummings Haslam on September 3, 1934.
Brent attended public schools in New Jersey, Union Junior College, N.J., Colby College, Waterville, and Ricker College, Houlton. He also served in the U.S. Army. He was a resident of Caribou for over 25 years. He taught public school for nineteen years in Caribou and Presque Isle. He was a member of St. Luke’s Episcopal Church, serving on the vestry during those years. On retirement in 1989, he moved to Canada, residing at Clifton Royal, N.B. until October 2009, when he became a resident of the Maine Veterans Home.
Brent is survived by his sister, Judy Cross of New Hampshire and several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his parents and his special friend the Reverend Thomas Knox.
