Athletic Director Murray Putnam has announced the seedings for the 39th annual Southern Aroostook Community School Junior High Invitational Basketball Tournament Feb. 13-15 in Dyer Brook.
A new starting time for the tournament games is 3 p.m.
The girls’ standings are as follows: First, Houlton, 11-1; second, GHCA, 9-3; third, Southern Aroostook, 8-6; fourth, Katahdin, 3-7 and fifth, Hodgdon, 0-14.
Houlton is first in the boys’ standings with a 12-0 record, followed by Southern Aroostook, 10-4; third, Katahdin, 6-4; fourth, GHCA, 4-8 and fifth, Hodgdon, 4-10.
On Monday, Feb. 13, GHCA and Hodgdon girls will play at 3 p.m., followed by Southern Aroostook and Katahdin at 4:30 p.m. At 5:30 p.m., the Katahdin and GHCA boys will meet.
On Tuesday, Feb. 14, Southern Aroostook and Hodgdon boys will play at 3 p.m., followed by top-seeded Houlton playing the winner of Katahdin/GHCA. At 5:30 p.m., the top-ranked Houlton girls meet the winner of Southern Aroostook/Katahdin.
The championship games are set for Wednesday, Feb. 15, with the girls starting at 3 p.m., followed by the boys’ game.
Awards for the winner and runners-up, along with all-star selections and Most Valuable Player will be presented at the end of the tournament.
A team representative is asked to be present.
