STOCKHOLM and FLORIDA – Joseph Gilbert Bechard, 77, passed away January 28, 2012, in Williston. He was born on May 8, 1934, to Wilfred and Alice Bechard in Stockholm, Maine. He moved to the Williston area 16 years ago coming from Connecticut. He was of the Catholic faith, a member of the American Vets, the American Legion and the VFW. He worked as a carpenter most of his life and enjoyed karaoke and dancing.
He leaves behind his wife of 52 years, Gladys; his sons, Steven Bechard (Lisa), Kevin Bechard; his daughter, Deborah Bechard; his sister, Gloria Pellitier; nine grandchildren; four great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held in Maine at a later date. Arrangements are under the care of Knauff Funeral Home, Williston.
