DEXTER — The Caribou High School wrestling team was on the road Saturday for the Dexter High School Wrestling Tournament.
Two Viking wrestlers were crowned champions. Robert Caudill won the 120-pound division and Brendan Wood placed first at 126 pounds.
Results of the matches are as follows:
120 lbs. class — R. Caudill, defeated Tyler Salsbury, Dexter by decision 2-1; and defeated Mark Smith, Foxcroft Academy by fall 2:31: R. Caudill finished first.
126 — Wood, defeated Josh Silva, Mt. Desert Island by fall 0:23; defeated Isaac Whittemore, Foxcroft Academy by forfeit,; and defeated Andrew Webber, Dexter by 3-2. Wood finished first.
132 — Mike Selander, defeated Zack Smith, Dexter by fall 4:27; defeated by Randy Hebert, Fort Kent by fall 1:49; defeated Smith, Dexter by fall 1:49; defeated Pete Robinson, Washington Academy by major decision 10-0; and defeated by Seth Blais, Dexter by fall 4:38. Selander finished in fifth place.
138 — D.J. Pizutti defeated by Andrew Adams, Dexter by fall 1:04; defeated Ben Fishman, Fort Kent by fall 2:33; and defeated by Cody Sprague, Washington Academy by technical fall 17-0. Pizzutti finished in fifth place.
152 — Jake Bither defeated Zack Evans, Foxcroft Academy by fall 1:35; defeated by Josh Pelletier, Fort Kent by fall 1:11; defeated Jake Pelletier, Fort Kent by decision 6-2; and defeated by Paul Young, Central by fall 1:43. Bither finished in fourth place.
120 — Dylan Bryam defeated by Mark Smith, Foxcroft Academy by fall 0:13; and defeated by Tyler Salsbury, Dexter by fall 0:42.
182 — Aaron Simon defeated by Corbyn Bruce, Foxcroft Academy by fall 3:25; and defeated by Deion Caudill, Caribou 0:45.

220 — Danny Powers, defeated by Adam Ronco, Mt. Desert Island by fall 2:31; and defeated by Dalton Surles, Calais by decision 3-2. Powers finished in fourth place.
Caribou wrestlers will be on the road again on Saturday for a meet at MDI High School in Bar Harbor.
