New UMPI athletics website online
The University of Maine at Presque Isle athletics department has a new web presence. The new site went online early this year and so far is gaining rave reviews.
The website designed by Prestosports, out of Rockville, Maryland has many benefits over the previous webpage.
“In addition to looking much better and more uniform, it makes my job a lot easier when it comes to streamlining how quickly we can get scores and stories up on the site and sending them off to our media list,” said Marc Heidorf, sports information director for UMPI.
Heidorf is also the women’s basketball coach so getting information on the website when the team is away is still a challenge.
“But now with our athletics twitter page all I need is my phone and I can at least get a score to our Twitter followers and our Facebook page,” he said.
