ED-ChimneysBearscove-cx-sh-04   A pilot taking off from the Northern Maine Regional Airport on Sunday, Jan. 22, took advantage of an unusual opportunity to snap a photo of the sun highlighting over 100 chimney smoke plumes from the town below.

It was -24 degrees at 7:30 a.m. when Kristian Bearscove, commander of the 38th Composite Squadron, Civil Air Patrol, and firefighter for Trenton and Ellsworth, took this photograph as he took off on his flight home.
