Employees of the financial and estate planning firm Thompson-Hamel, LLC, and Robert P. Thompson, EA of Presque Isle, contributed a total of $550 toward the Halfway Home Pet Rescue’s (HHPR) Future Building Project. At left, Thompson-Hamel employee Sharon Watson of Fort Fairfield, presents the gift to Anne Price of Presque Isle, HHPR secretary. HHPR officials expressed their gratitude for the gifts they’ve received from many community groups and individuals in Caribou and the surrounding towns. “Many gifts included greatly needed pet food and supplies, much needed cube beds for the most stressed felines, monetary gifts toward the future building and several very nice monetary gifts toward the medical expenses of the HHPR kittens and cats,”  said HHPR President Norma Milton.  HHPR is a 501c3 non-profit rescue group specializing in Feline Rescue and Rehabilitation, and a Maine Licensed Cat Rescue working out of a foster care network of loving homes. Those wishing to assist the shelter by providing foster home care for HHPR kittens/cats are urged to call Milton at 492-1722. A home visit is required for any foster home application.
