    HOULTON – Elva Elizabeth Jones, 61, died Jan. 10, 2012, in Portland, due to complications from cancer surgery. She was born Sept. 20, 1950, in Houlton, the daughter of Trueman B. and Elva (Hoyt) Jones Sr.
    She attended and graduated from Houlton High School in 1968, and was presently employed by Ivey’s Motor Lodge.
    She is survived by her son, Ansel Warren Jones of Houlton; her brother, Trueman B. Jones Jr. and his wife, Patricia, of New Limerick; her niece, Shelly Rae (Jones) Clark and her husband, Alan, of Portland; nephew, William B. Jones and his wife, Michelle, of Gray; and her best friend, Connie (Russell) Henderson of South Portland, whom she had known since childhood.
    Friends called 6-8 p.m. Monday at Bowers Funeral Home, 10 Water St., Houlton, where funeral services were held 1 p.m. Tuesday with the Rev. Wayne Robertson officiating.
