Hartsgrove, Douglas, 50, of Caribou and Levant, at Mattawamkeag, on January 1, 2012. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery, Perham. Arrangements are in the care of Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.


AR Douglas HartsgroveCaribou and Levant – Douglas Hartsgrove, 50, died unexpectedly January 1, 2012, while visiting his sister in Mattawamkeag. He was born in Caribou January 26, 1961, the son of the late Philip and Priscilla (Richards) Hartsgrove. He was employed by G.R. Roofing of Brewer and he attended the Union Church of Stetson. Doug loved to fish, do woodworking and spend time with his family. But more than anything, his four beautiful daughters were his whole life. Doug is survived by his daughters, Wendy, Micheala, Abby and Hope all of Carmel; four brothers and a sister-In-law, David and Marie Hartsgrove of Alfred, Danny Hartsgrove of Perham, Darrell Hartsgrove of Caribou and Darrin Hartsgrove of Texas; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Donna and George Markie of Mattawamkeag, Dayle and Michael Espling of Caribou and Doris Simmons of Springvale; two half-brothers, Philip and Joe Marcum of Kentucky; several nieces and nephews.  Doug was predeceased by a sister, Debra and a brother, Dean.

Friends called  at the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou 12 noon Thursday, January 5, 2012, until time of services which were held at 2 p.m. at the funeral home with Rev. David Roy, officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery Perham. www.mocklerfuneralhome.com
