Wortman, Linda J., 59, of Limestone, at Caribou, on December 27, 2011. A graveside service will be conducted in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Arrangements are in the care of Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, Fort Fairfield.


LIMESTONE – Linda J. Wortman, 59, wife of the late Malcolm “Mac” Wortman, passed away Tuesday afternoon, December 27, 2011, at a Caribou healthcare facility, following an extended illness. She was born February 20, 1952, in Connors, New Brunswick, Canada, the daughter of Frank and Bertha (Milliard) Blair.

Linda was educated in the Willimantic, Connecticut school system and had been employed at the former Ames Department Store, Caribou, for several years.

In addition to her parents, Linda was predeceased by her husband, Mac on March 6, 1983; one brother, Carroll Blair.

She is survived by one son, Clarence “Chuck” Wortman; one daughter and son-in-law, Colleen and Dana Deschenes, all of Limestone; one brother, Joseph Daniel Blair of Willimantic, CT; three sisters, Lucy Paquin of Kerrville, TX, Leila Touissant and her husband, Robert of Danielson, CT, Nina Thibodeau and her husband, Eldrick of Brunswick; six grandchildren, Sirrea, Tiah, Kerigan, Wyatt, Ainsley and Carol Deschenes; several nieces and nephews.

A graveside service will be conducted in the spring at Riverside Cemetery, Fort Fairfield. Those who wish may contribute in memory of Linda to C-A-N-C-E-R, P.O. Box 811, Presque Isle, 04769. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Giberson-Dorsey Funeral Home, 144 Main Street, Fort Fairfield.
