    HOULTON – Evelyn C. Dow, 93, died Dec. 31, 2011 at a local health care facility. She was born April 5, 1918 at Littleton, the daughter of Beecher and Ida (Weed) Carmichael.
    Evelyn was employed as the Aroostook County (south) Register of Deeds from 1960 to 1994. She was a long-time member of the Portia Rebekah Lodge and loved doing all things with family.
    She is survived by two daughters, Jo-Ann Barton of Houlton and Avis Keith of CT; daughter-in-law, Jean Dow; eight grandchildren, Wayne Randall, Judi Sewell, Karen Beaulieu, Brian Barton, Lynn Quint, Jackie Drake, Wade Keith and Richard Keith; several great-grand-children; nieces and nephews; two special people, Avis Hanning and Nancy Caron. She was predeceased by her husband Clifton, and son, Stuart.
    Friends called at the Dunn Funeral Home 6 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday. Services will be held at the funeral home 1 p.m. Wed. Interment will be in the Littleton Cemetery.
