On Sunday evening, Jan. 8, make plans to turn off the television, put down your book, forget about the ironing and be at the Caribou Performing Arts Center by 7 p.m. as the Caribou High School Class of 2012 presents, “Dancing Like the Stars.” It’s an evening filled with appearances of local talented dancing duo extraordinaires that will include CHS students, staff and community members — all vying for the most audience votes and the right to have their names added to the highly distinguished Dancing Like the Stars trophy.

During the popular and ever-entertaining event, it is the members of the audience who ultimately decide who gets bragging rights as winners of the good-natured competition. Following the appearance of all the dancing diva duos, the audience will vote for their favorite pair via writing their name on a slip of paper and including $1/per vote in the supplied envelope. Of course, it is highly encouraged to vote more than once for your preferred couple.

This year’s “Dancing Like the Stars” performing pairs include: Ms. Cherie Black and Regan Buck, Ms. Shelly Richardson and Sammy Camy, Mrs. Tina Duplissie Cyr and Emma Duplissie Cyr, Mrs. Any Hunter and Annie Collins, Mrs. Vicki King and Sabrina Haney, Mr. Chris Cassavant and Paige Small, Mr. Danny Corriveau and Demarre Doody Corriveau, Mr. Evan Graves and Chaya Karunasira, Mr. Scott Walton and Haley Hunter, Ms. Sue White and Meredith Sleeper, Mr. Dan Williams and Emma Jandreau and Mr. Mark Rossignol and Delaney Williams.

Katie Keaton and Kjetil Rossignol will be the evening’s emcees.

Admission to the exciting and highly anticipated Jan. 8 production is $5 at the door.

All proceeds from this evening filled with dynamite dancing benefit the Caribou High School Class of 2012.
