EASTON — Three individuals escaped serious injury early Saturday morning when two vehicles collided on Forest Ave.

“On Dec. 17 at approximately 3:15 a.m., Trooper Fred Thomas was dispatched to a two-vehicle accident on Forest Ave. in Easton,” said Sgt. Julie Bergan, Maine State Police.

Bergan said the crash involved a local resident leaving her driveway and a second vehicle operating on Forest Ave.

“Tammy Closson, 38, started to leave her driveway at 218 Forest Ave. in a 2010 Toyota pickup when a 1999 Buick LeSabre operated by 19-year-old Kiefer Holton crested the hill. Holto n could not stop and struck Closson’s vehicle almost head-on,” Bergan said.

Crown Ambulance transported Holton and his passenger, 23-year-old Michael York, to The Aroostook Medical Center in Presque Isle.

“Both Holton and York were treated and released,” said Bergan. Closson sustained minor injuries and did not require treatment.

The crash remains under investigation. Trooper Thomas was assisted at the scene by members of the Easton Fire Department.
