Library to host holiday Story Hour

    Please join the fun at the Washburn Memorial Library as we get into the holiday spirit!

We will celebrate the season with a Story Hour to be held Thursday, Dec. 22 at 3 p.m. The Story Hour will be held at the Washburn Memorial Library, located at 1290 Main St. in Washburn. Children from ages three to 10 are encouraged to attend. The event will last for approximately one hour and light refreshments will be provided.

    DOZENS OF QUILTS were made by several volunteers during a Make A Difference Day gathering at the Washburn Trail Runners’ clubhouse. The quilts were donated to Quilting for Hospice to benefit area families.

 

Project Graduation

    Washburn Project Grad 2012 is taking donations at the bottle redemption center in Washburn for this school year. Just let them know that you want to donate your bottles. Thank you to anyone that has given to us in the past. It is greatly appreciated.

    Those celebrating birthdays from Dec. 21-27 include Gerald Carney, Autumn Tuttle, Greg Anderson, Wade Willett, Jana Shaw, Chuck Cunningham, Brent Tardie, Jenalee Bragg, Gerald Vaughn, Ryan Scott, Taylor Bagley, Melvin Maynard, Avis Drost, Elizabeth Howard, Stephen Rouse, Heidi Crouse, Marissa Emery, Edwyna Mills, Bette Lou Tilley, Charlotte Griffin and Matthew Conley.

    Celebrating their anniversary are Art and Charlotte Griffin, Rodney and Helena Corey, Benjamin and Cassie Sullivan, Stacey and Kelley Baker, and Tim and Carolyn O’Donnell.
