Jerry Violette of Jerry’s Thriftway in Island Falls is stepping up to help others in the community by donating 24 turkeys to the Island Falls Food Pantry. Violette has the birds on hand and he knows, “there are a lot of needy people this year … more than normal.”  Violette has given different items to the pantry over the years and realizes this year the pantry is stretched to help those in need.
