    PRESQUE ISLE – Donald H. Tarbox Sr., 77, formerly of Washburn, died Saturday morning Dec. 10, 2011, at a Presque Isle hospital. He was born in Perham on April 2, 1934, the son of Raymond and Melissa (Cray) Tarbox.

    He worked in the Washburn School system as a bus driver and custodian. He loved spending time with his family, and his faithful dog.

    He is survived by two sons and their wives, Donald Jr. and Barbara of Washburn, and Raymond and Twila of Mars Hill; a daughter, Shirley Rand and her husband, Ronald of Washburn; and an adopted sister, Dorothy Carlise of Presque Isle; 14 grandchildren, Kevin and Jeremy Rand, Christopher Tarbox, Missy Sprague, Lisa Stringer, Raylene York, Raymond Tarbox, Faith Mathers, Hope Shaw, Blease Faulkner, Ashley Estey, Regina Valiquette, Andy and Shawn Hawksley; 33 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.

    He was predeceased by his wife, Patricia (Doody) Tarbox; a daughter, Brenda Hawksley; and a grandson, Jeffrey Tarbox.

    A private graveside service will be held Wed. Dec. 14, 2011, at Hillside Grove Cemetery, Crouseville, with Rev. Bruce Blakney officiating. Online condolences may be expressed at www.duncan-graves.com
