Moody spoke about how the Batterer Intervention Program in Houlton is working with the justice system to address domestic violence head on throughout Northern Maine. Convicted male batterers from Millinocket north attend the 48-week program to define violence and change thinking and behavior. Both a male and female facilitator set out to make participants better domestic partners, parents and citizens. Taking part in the presentation are, from left, Scott Dionne, Rotary president; Moody, executive director of Northern New England Community Resource; and Tammie Mulvey, Houlton Rotarian.
