Caribou Rotarians are reminding area residents that there is still time to purchase tickets for the club’s 17th annual Rotary Draw event.

The actual “draw” will take place Saturday, Dec. 10, during the evening event at the Caribou Inn and Convention Center beginning at 6:30 p.m.

Tickets are $60 each or two or more at $50 each. The “Cash Draw” will include the awarding of 50 cash prizes plus a $500 bonus door prize. Cash prize amounts are: first prize, $6,000; second, $5,000; third, $4,000; (1) $1,000; (1) $500; (5) $250; and (40) $100; plus the $500 bonus door prize. Ticket holders do not have to be present to win any of the cash draws except the door prize, which must be claimed in person.

Tickets include admission for one to the Dec. 10 drawing and dance (you must have a ticket in order to attend the event).

There will be no more than 1,000 tickets sold for the 17th annual Rotary Draw, allowing for a 1 in 20 chance of winning one of the cash prizes. Tickets are available from any Caribou Rotarian and may be purchased up to the day of event.

Patrick Bennett, Caribou Rotary president-elect and chairman of this year’s event stated, “If you are a resident in the central Aroostook area, chances are very good that you or someone you know has benefited from a Rotary project and /or donation.”

This fundraiser is just one in a long tradition of “Service Above Self,” events that raise funds which are used to complete a variety of community projects, supported by the Caribou Rotary Club.
