PRESQUE ISLE — A workshop is being offered to assist those who’ve lost a loved one in getting through the holidays.
“Ryan’s Heart is offering a special free holiday workshop for families who have lost a loved one,” said Kelly Gumprecht, founder of the organization.
The workshop, entitled Traditions and Grief, will be held on Monday, Dec. 5, at 6 p.m. at the Mark & Emily Turner Memorial Library in Presque Isle.
“We’ll touch on how grief and loss affects families and traditions, especially through the holiday season,” said Gumprecht.
Gumprecht and Gail Phair-Kirk will lead the session, offering advice on how to cope through difficult times.
All are welcome, including children.
“Participants will leave with instructions and materials for a simple, hands-on activity to complete at home,” Gumprecht said.
Information will also be available for a grief workshop for children which will be offered by Ryan’s Heart next spring. For more information, visit www.ryansheartnpo.org.
