    Doris I. (Nickerson) Gonya, 74, of Bristol, CT, died Sunday, October 30, 2011. She was the widow of Richard Gonya.
    Doris was born July 9, 1937 in Woodstock, Canada, a daughter of the late Preston and Lila (Tommy) Nickerson.
    She leaves her loving family, two sons, Randy and Andrew MacDonald; four daughters, Lori Goodall, Teresa Woodsome, Sandra Tarantino, and Karen Folsom; one brother, Merlin Nickerson; two sisters, Jeanette Farrar and Cheryl Crafts; nine grandchildren; eleven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. She will be truly missed.
    A memorial Mass was held Monday, November 7, 2011 at noon at St. Matthew Church, 120 Church Ave., Forestville. There were no calling hours.
