All parishes/clusters in the diocese will offer the Sacrament of Reconciliation in a special way during Advent by offering confessions in a unified effort. Monday and Tuesday, Dec. 12 and 13 from 6-7 p.m. (or until the last confession is heard) every parish/cluster will have “The Light On For You.”
The locations for confession will be determined locally and the location may move among the churches of a parish. Some parishes may offer more evenings or longer hours as necessary.
Catholics across Maine, especially those who have been away for a while from the church or confession, are invited to experience God’s mercy and forgiveness as a way of preparing for the celebration of Christmas.
