Dexter L. Shaw

    Shaw, Dexter L., 66, July 13, 2011.
    LUDLOW – Dexter L. Shaw, 66, passed away peacefully on July 13, 2011 in Bangor, with his better half of 15 1/2 years, Loretta Donahue Shaw by his side, after a courageous battle with lung and bone cancer. Dexter was born in Detroit, Michigan on October 21, 1944, the son of Dexter and Helen (Williams) Shaw.
    Dexter worked for many years for Escelles out of Detroit, traveling to New Hampshire, repairing refrigeration and lighting. He then moved to Connecticut, where he worked for many years for J&J as a tool and die maker.
    He was a member of the Army Airborne 82nd.
    Dexter loved the outdoors and his many dogs. He loved taking them for walks, brushing, and feeding them.
    He is survived by Loretta and his many dogs of Ludlow; his sisters, Linda and Karen; his parents, Dexter and Helen; nieces, Amber, Amy, Robin, and Megan; nephew, Scott, all of Arizona; his children, Michelle, Jackie, and Joey, all of Michigan.
    At Dexter’s request, there were no calling hours. Gifts in Dexter’s memory may be made to the Houlton Humane Society or Animal Ark Sanctuary.
