All-Star soccer team selections announced
The Maine Soccer Coaches Regional All-Star Teams have been announced and several area players have received the honor.
Named to the Eastern Class D girls squad were: Ashland’s Brooke LaBelle (senior): Central Aroostook’s Victoria McIntyre (senior); Easton’s Carla Halvorson (junior) and Kenney Young (junior); Fort Fairfield’s Abbey Player (sophomore) and Logan Bubar (sophomore); and Washburn’s Carmen Bragg (sophomore), Carsyn Koch (sophomore), Rayah Saucier (sophomore) and Mackenzie Worcester (freshman).
Named to the Eastern Class D boys squad were: Ashland’s Royce MacDonald (senior), Central Aroostook’s Dan Brewer (senior) and Spenser Stetson (senior); Limestone’s Tristan Kirk (sophomore); and Washburn’s Nick Bragg (junior) and Jordan McLaughlin (senior).
Named to the Eastern Maine Class B girls squad were: Caribou’s Jamie Martin (senior), Olivia Sleeper (senior) and Morgan Swan (senior); and Presque Isle’s Chandler Guerrette (junior), Chelsea Nickerson (senior) and Kayla Richards (senior).
Named to the Eastern Maine Class B boys squad were: Caribou’s Chad Caverhill (senior); and Presque Isle’s Cole Richards (junior) and Wilder York (senior).
Seniors on these teams are invited to the 17th Maine Soccer Coaches Senior Bowl which is Sunday at Hampden Academy. The boy’s game is at noon and the girl’s game will start at 2:30 p.m.
These players are also invited to the 38th Maine Soccer Coaches All-Star Banquet on Sunday, Dec. 4 at 1 p.m. at the Spectacular Event Center in Bangor.
