BOTTLE DRIVE FOR ANIMALS — On Saturday, Oct. 15, the Mane Eventers 4-H group had a bottle drive to benefit the Central Aroostook Humane Society in Presque Isle. The total earned for two hours of work was $200.70. SALE BENEFITS PETS — On the weekend of Oct. 15, Jorja and Jackson Maynard had fun selling hot chocolate and cookies to benefit the Central Aroostook Humane Society in Presque Isle during their grandparents’ yard sale. DONATION BENEFITS ANIMALS — The Student Activities Office at UMPI organized a drive called Heartwarming Gifts for Paws. UMPI Senior Kimmie Francis  was in the forefront with regards to organizing the event. All proceeds went to the Central Aroostook Humane Society and the students were able to raise approximately $40 in cash donations and collected two big boxes full of items, including: kitty litter, paper towels, cat and dog food, treats, canned dog and cat food, bleach and other needed items.
