Flannery, Geneva M., 77, of Caribou, at Caribou, on November 3, 2011. Spring interment will take place at the Evergreen Cemetery. Arrangements are in the care of the Mockler Funeral Home, Caribou.


AR Flannery GenevaCARIBOU – Geneva M. Flannery, 77, died November 3, 2011, at Caribou. She was born at Caribou on December 19, 1933, the daughter of John and Laura (Corey) McGlinn. Geneva graduated from Presque Isle High School, the class of 1951 and worked at Cary Medical Center in the housekeeping department for a number of years until her retirement. She was a loving and devoted mother and a great friend to many.

She is survived by two daughters, Karen Messier of Waterville and Ronda Burns and her husband, John of West Boylston, MA; three sons, Richard Flannery Jr. of Caribou, David Flannery and his wife, Dina of Dedham, MA and Robert Flannery of Provincetown, MA; one grandson, Dylan Flannery and his wife, Cara of Newport; and one granddaughter, McKenzie Flannery of Smyrna; three sisters, Evelyn Rutherford of Van Buren, Norma O’Reilly and her husband, Charles of South Portland and Joan Carrier and her husband, Sidney of Charleston, SC; two brothers, Dale McGlinn and his wife, Martha of Caribou and Carl McGlinn also of Caribou; one sister-in-law, Amy McGlinn of Presque Isle, the father of her children, Richard Flannery of Caribou; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by brothers, James, Philip and Nason McGlinn and a son-in-law, Dennis Messier.

A memorial service was held on Sunday, November 6, 2011, at 2 p.m. from the chapel of the Mockler Funeral Home, 24 Reservoir Street, Caribou.
