FORT FAIRFIELD — Once held regularly at the USDA building in Presque Isle, the St. John Aroostook RC&D meeting will be held on Thursday, Nov. 3, at the Fort Fairfield Municipal Building, 18 Community Center Drive.

“The Executive Committee will meet at 9 a.m., with the general meeting beginning at 10 a.m.,” said Paul Bernier, chair of the organization.

Bernier welcomes all interested individuals to participate.

Like many other agencies across the state and the country, the RC&D has faced difficulties as the result of tough economic times, including a cut in funding that resulted in reduction in staff. Bernier said it’s more important than ever for people to work together for the betterment of the County.

“We all know that our participation in local projects cannot be in the same capacity as in recent years, but we can still be a very important link and resource opportunity for many individuals and businesses in our region,” said Bernier. “If at all possible, please advise if you will be attending.”
