GHOULISH WEATHER over the weekend brought about an inch of snow to the area, while locations to the south endured even more of the white stuff, with southern Maine residents left powerless as a result of the storm that affected much of the East Coast.

Locally, Sunday’s warmer temperatures quickly melted the snow, but not before this snapshot was taken of the Lennon residence on Barton Street in Presque Isle. The ghost on the step — complete with scarf — appears to be channeling the sentiment of many in the area who didn’t appreciate the first snow of the season the day before Halloween, leaving many to wonder if this was a trick or a treat.
