Knights go for ‘three peat’

The weather has put pressure on the Houlton Knights Football team, as the scheduled semifinal against the Milo Panthers was postponed due to the weekend snowstorm.
The Knights (7-1) will play the Panthers (0-6) and hopefully make it to the finals against the Caribou Huskies (6-3) on Saturday in Houlton.
The 2009 and 2010 AFL champion Knights are attempting an unprecedented third championship in a row. Head Coach Brian Reynolds will try to put together an injury-plagued team to accomplish the feat.
“We have depth at many positions,” said Reynolds, “But we hope that some of the regulars will be ready to go on Saturday.”
The finals will be held at Bob Ruth Field on Saturday at 1 p.m.
    Concessions, entertainment are scheduled.
