LINNEUS, Maine — A 25-year-old Houlton woman was charged with operating under the influence and operating after suspension following a two-car crash on the Bangor Road Friday evening.
Maine State Police Sgt. Brian Harris said Ashley Quint, 25, of Houlton was traveling south on the Bangor Road in a 1997 Chevrolet pickup truck when she stopped her vehicle to turn around. Quint’s vehicle was partially blocking the road, according to Harris, and was struck by Megan Fitzpatrick, 17, of Hodgdon, who was driving a 2001 Buick sedan traveling south on the Bangor Road.
“Fitzpatrick attempted to brake and avoid Quint’s vehicle, but could not and Fitzpatrick struck Quint’s vehicle and then went off the road,” Harris said.
Quint complained of pain to her head and arm and was transported by Houlton Ambulance to Houlton Regional Hospital and later released. Fitzpatrick was not injured. Both Quint and Fitzpatrick were wearing their seatbelts, Harris said. The two vehicles were destroyed.
Troopers Jill Monahan and Carman Lilley investigated the case. After she was released from the hospital, Quint was arrested for OUI.
