NEW SWEDEN – Bruce L. Johnson, 46, beloved husband of Candace Johnson, passed away unexpectedly Friday, October 28, 2011, as a result of an ATV accident. Bruce was born in Presque Isle on December 8, 1964, the son of Lendal and Deleen (Smith) Johnson.
Bruce will be remembered as a hard worker, a loyal friend, very generous, and a good teacher to his son. He loved spending time with his family and especially spending time outdoors with his son, Zebadiah.
Bruce is survived by his wife Candace of 17 years; their son, Zebadiah Johnson; step-daughters Molly and Laura Sampadian; brother, Daniel Field of New Sweden; sister, Shelly Hethcoat of NC; and his parents, Lendal and Deleen Johnson.
Friends and family may call from 10-11 a.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2011, at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover Street, Caribou. Funeral services will be held at the funeral home at 11 a.m., Rev. Gordon Compton officiating. Presiding as pallbearers are Craig Anderson, Daniel Field, Sven Bondeson, Scott Sandstrom, Tim Sandstrom and Dan Richards. Following services, there will be a reception at the American Legion Hall in Stockholm. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in support of the family.
