Caribou Fire and Ambulance Chief Roy E Woods, left, recently presented an appreciation plaque to Miles Williams, Maine Public Service customer service manager. The recognition award was for MPS’s dedicated service to the Caribou Fire and Ambulance and the citizens of Aroostook County. “Maine Public Service line crews are on call 24 hours per day, 7-days a week like all other first responders,” stated Chief Woods. “They respond to emergency calls for downed lines and power outages, many times at our request, especially at fire calls and accidents,” Woods added. “They do a great job protecting firefighters and other citizens when lines are down as well as with other issues and emergencies.”
