PRESQUE ISLE – William Nichols, 53, died October 17, 2011, at his residence in Presque Isle. He was born in Presque Isle on Dec. 19, 1957, the son of Merle R. and Harriet M. (Everett) Nichols.

He is survived by a son and a daughter; three brothers: David of Sanford, Danny of Mapleton, and Ralph of Caribou; a sister, Sue Bragdon of Presque Isle; a half-brother, Merle Cormier of Mapleton; several nieces and nephews.
