Members of the American Legion Auxiliary, Henry B. Pratt, Jr. Unit 15, in Caribou will be sponsoring their annual free coat-give-away at the Post home on Sweden Street, on Friday, Nov. 4, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Saturday, Nov. 5, from 8 a.m. until 2 p.m.This program is intended to provide outerwear coats and jackets for local residents and their family members (children and adults) who are in need of winter coats to ensure their warmth throughout the coming winter months.
To date, donations of coats in a variety of sizes have been received from organizations within the local area but the need for these winter items is great and Auxiliary members are encouraging all citizens to help with this project.
Anyone who has any slightly used winter outerwear that is in good condition including coats, pants and boots that they would like to donate, the Auxiliary members would be more than pleased to be able to offer these items to those in need.
Clothing donations may be dropped off at the American Legion Post 15 on Saturday, Oct. 29, between 9 a.m. and noon.
Remember everyone needs a warm winter coat.
