Supports investigation into Orient affairs

To the editor:
    I have read David Peabody’s report and am writing to express my support for his investigation into the town of Orient’s finances for the last several years.  I believe that David raises valid concerns about the way that taxpayer money has been spent, incomplete documentation of spending, relative tax burden compared to surrounding towns, and procedural irregularities regarding town and selectmen’s meetings.
    I grew up in Orient and our family still owns property on the Boundary Road.
