Comptrollers plan workshop
The Aroostook County Chapter of the Association of Government Accountants (AGA) and the Crown of Maine Chapter of the American Society of Military Comptrollers (ASMC) will hold their fourth annual fall symposium on Wednesday, Nov. 9, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Registration starts at 7:30 a.m.
The theme this year is Operational Excellence: Managing in Leaner Times. The event will be held at the Northern Maine Community College Edmunds Conference Center. Refreshments, including a full lunch buffet, will be provided.
A highlight of some of the guest speakers include: Reymond Van Daniker, executive director of AGA; James Stewart, information manager for ASMC; Lt. Col. Gavin Batchelder, Air National Guard; David Hoopengarder, knowledge manager for DFAS Strategic Business Management Office; and a taped message from Sen. Susan Collins.
