OAKFIELD – Edwin J. Michaud 85, died October 16, 2011 at his residence. He was born September 24, 1926 at St. Francis, the son of Richard and Georgianna (Willette) Michaud.
Edwin was a member of the Bethel Pentecostal Church and was a lifelong woodsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing and had a great love for the outdoors. Edwin was gifted with great musical talent and an uncanny ability to play any instrument he picked up. He enjoyed reading his Bible and playing the accordion daily, which was the only instrument he was able to play in his later years.
Edwin is survived by his wife of 41 years, Blanche (Marley) Michaud of Oakfield; two daughters, Tonya York and Will, and Gloria Jean Clark and Ervin, all of New Limerick; seven grand-children, ten great-grand-children and four great-great-grand-children; one sister, Hazel Bossie of Medway; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his 12 brothers and sisters.
Friends may call at the Oakfield Pentecostal Church Wednesday 12 noon until the time of the service at 1 p.m. with Rev. Sterling Lawrence officiating.
