Under the strict auspicious of church members Bob Thompson and Del Remey, the Gray Memorial United Methodist Church will hold its annual Harvest Supper on Saturday, Nov. 5 in the church dining room. Thompson and Remey have co-chaired this event since its inception.
The harvest supper will feature a complete home-cooked turkey (turkeys are cooked by members of the church) dinner, served with all the enticing fixings. These side dishes will include potatoes, squash, carrots, peas, dressing, cranberry sauce and rolls. There will also be “an awesome salad bar” and for dessert — a mouth-watering selection of homemade pies.
There will be two sittings available, one at 4:30 p.m. and another at 6 p.m. “These are complete individual meals, just served at different times,” said Thompson and Remey. “As with the first sitting, everything is freshly made for the 6 p.m. meal, there are no leftovers used.”
Be sure and circle the date of Saturday, Nov. 5 on your calendars and join the Gray memorial United Methodist church family for a wonderful harvest meal.
Tickets, $12 for adults; $6 for children under the age of 12, will be sold in advance with a limited number available at the door. Tickets may be obtained from church members or by contacting the church office at 498-2103, Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon.
