Harvest Party
The annual Harvest Party will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, from 2-4 p.m.
If anyone has Happy Meal-type toys they would like to get rid of, organizers could use them as prizes at a number of games there. Donations of candy are always welcome. Admission to this event will be a can of soup to be donated to the Friends Helping Friends Food Pantry.
Trunk or Treat
Easton Wesleyan Church will be hosting the annual Trunk or Treat program on Monday, Oct. 31, from 6-7:30 p.m. There will be games upstairs from 6-7 p.m. for children up to kindergarten age. Downstairs are games for older children up to grade 6. Children earn tickets to purchase items at the “store” or to place someone in the popular “jail” for a few minutes. New this year will be a parent’s corner in the auditorium for parents of older children who want to socialize over a cup of coffee while their children play games. At 7 p.m. participants will assemble in the auditorium for a special presentation and puppet show that will last about 20 minutes. Then children will go out to Trunk or Treat, where they collect treats from the trunks of many vehicles set up in the parking lot. Children will also be able to finish shopping in the store at this time.
