Local dance students to perform with Robinson Ballet

Rehearsals are underway for the Robinson Ballet Company’s performance of “The Nutcracker” coming Nov. 27 at 2 p.m. to the Houlton Community Arts Center. This delightful holiday classic is being presented by a professional dance company, with sets, costumes and students from the Bangor area. What makes this event more exciting is that they have invited several young local dance students who auditioned in Bangor and earned their roles in the Houlton production.
“This is a tremendous opportunity, not only having “Nutcracker” performed here in Houlton, but also that we are engaging our own local students, giving them a chance to work with a professional company,” said Sue Waite-York, vice president of the Houlton Community Arts Center Council (HCACC).
