Versatile soprano Flewelling, originally from Ashland, began singing professionally at age 14. She attended Aurora University, Illinois and graduated from New England Conservatory of Music, Boston with post-graduate work in Tanglewood Music Center, The Berkshires American Institute of Musical Studies, and Peabody Opera Institute, Maryland.

Flewelling has performed many concerts of sacred music throughout New England in both churches and secular venues as a guest artist. Her opera repertoire includes 26 performed roles and over 70 solo scenes. In both opera and art song, she has performed several world premieres and has placed as a finalist up through first place winner in numerous national and international competitions. Her first CD, “Phoebe in the Presidio,” was recorded in San Francisco as winner in two seasons of San Francisco Concerto Orchestra’s International Competitions.

“Songs of Faith” invites a more meditative contemplation of eight classics of sacred music, familiar to Christians of all persuasions.
