Sponberg wins Kindle
PRESQUE ISLE — Deryle E. Sponberg of Washburn, recently visited the newly-constructed Equinox Insurance of Aroostook website at www.equinoxaroostook.com and requested a quote on insurance.
By doing so, he was entered into the website’s drawing for a Kindle, along with hundreds of other insurance quote requesters. His was the luck of the draw.

DERYL SPONBERG, of Washburn, was rewarded with a new Kindle for inquiring about insurance rates when he visited Equinox Insurance of Aroostook’s website. Sponberg met with NorState Federal Credit Union’s Presque Isle Branch Manager June Gallant and Equinox of Aroostook Caribou Branch Manager Troy Heald to pick up his prize.
Sponberg said that this will probably be a great gift for one of the grandkids and said that seeing the advertisement on NorState’s outdoor sign made him look up the website to see if he could find a better insurance rate.
The new website was launched in May, and the Kindle contest was a nice draw for credit union members to get a free quote on insurance products for home, recreational vehicles, auto and more.
The website contest was open to all people of Aroostook and beyond.
NorState FCU’s internal employee Kindle contest — to educate members about this insurance product — winner was Keela Gagnon of Saint David.
