MAPLETON NEWS
The Castle Hill Grange Hall Preservation Society held its meeting Sept. 27.
The cookbook fundraiser was at the top of the agenda. They were completed and sent to the company after Labor Day. At this time, the Society would like to thank everyone who submitted recipes. There were many different recipes contributed to the book with almost no two alike! The wide variety should make for a great book! Look for them by the middle of November, just in time for Christmas.
The hall now has a new screen door for the front door to allow for airflow without letting in unwanted “visitors.” The outside door has been painted and a new bulletin board hung outside the entrance. The board will be available to post town notices, eliminating tacking them to the front door.
The board of directors’ meeting will be held Tuesday, Oct. 25. Anyone wishing to bring suggestions, become a member, or just stop in and see what the Society is up to is welcome to attend. New active members are needed. Please consider joining!
