Cecil and Arlene Long of Houlton announce the engagement of their son, Thomas Long, to Emily Faye Darling, daughter of Joseph Darling of Ashburnham, MA, and Kathy and Wayne Trombly of Derry, NH. They were engaged on March 24, 2011 which was the third anniversary of their first date.
Thomas is a 2002 graduate of Houlton High School. He also graduated in 2006 from Bowdoin College. He works at MIT Sloan Business School in Cambridge, MA.

Emily is a 2007 graduate of Oakmont Regional High School in Ashburnham, MA. She also graduated from New Hampshire Art Institute in Manchester, NH. She is employed at The Learning Experience in Littleton, MA as a teacher.
A May 2013 wedding is being planned.
