HOULTON — The new Tractor Supply Company store has opened for business. The company held a “soft opening” on Saturday, according to store manager Roy Sanders.
“We can’t wait to swing open the doors and start welcoming customers into the store,” said Sanders. “We look forward to serving our neighbors in Houlton and the surrounding communities.”
Tractor Supply Company is the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the United States and has been operating in Maine since 2007.
The new Houlton Tractor Supply store is located at 337 North St. and has 19,097 square feet, including a sales floor and support service space. A fenced exterior space offers a display area for items such as fencing, sprayers and livestock equipment. The store currently employs 12 full- and part-time team members.
Festivities are being planned for a grand opening later this month.
