Fall outings for adults and seniors

There are some outings coming up geared toward adults and seniors. A flyer with a full list of trips is available at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center.

For those ages 18-55, a guided day hiking trip to Deboullie is planned for Saturday, Oct. 22.

For those 55 and older, Christmas tree tagging is slated for Tuesday, Oct. 25 and an art exhibit and planetarium tour for Thursday, Oct. 27.

Pre-registration is required. Call 493-4224 for more information.

Volunteers sought

The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department is seeking volunteers to assist with the annual Halloween Party slated for Monday, Oct. 31. Individuals, businesses and organizations interested in providing a game or activity during the two-hour event are asked to contact the recreation office at 493-4224.

Walking hours

Walking hours at the Caribou Wellness and Recreation Center are 6 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday through Friday and noon-4 p.m. Saturdays.

Men’s basketball organizational meeting

There will be an organizational meeting for the men’s basketball league on Wednesday, Oct. 12 at 6:30 p.m. Anyone interested in having a team in the league must have a representative at the meeting.

30-and-over basketball

The men’s 30-and-over basketball program will get under way Tuesday, Oct. 11. The program is held Tuesdays from 7-9 p.m. and Sundays from 10 a.m.-noon. The fee is $3 per player on Sundays.

Kids playgroup

The Caribou Parks and Recreation Department will provide gym space for parents and toddlers. This is a self-guided program and participants are allowed to bring their own toys, although rubber-wheeled toys are discouraged. Call 493-4224 for times and additional information.
