Calling all Aroostook County kids, age 5 to 17, if you are a singer, dancer, juggler, musician, comedian, actor or magician who just loves to perform, the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum has a contest for you.
Auditions for the annual Kounty Kids Got Talent Contest will be held on Saturday, Oct. 15 beginning at 9 a.m. at the Caribou Performing Arts Center. A $5 registration fee is required.
Following the auditions, 16 finalists and two alternates will be chosen to compete within their respective age divisions (ages 10 and under or ages 11 to 17) during the Kounty Kids Got Talent contest to take place at 2 p.m. on Sunday, Oct. 30, at CPAC.
Judges for the Oct. 15 event will be Dan Ladner, Cissy Buck and Robert Helstrom. Jason and Kim Parent will be the emcees for the afternoon program.
Prizes will be awarded to the first-place winners in each category.
All proceeds from this always entertaining event will benefit the Caribou Children’s Discovery Museum. Sponsors assisting with this year’s contest include Harry’s Motorsports, Northern Prosthetics, NorState Credit Union and Pines Health Services.
