Altered cats awaiting forever homes

News flash! The Central Aroostook Humane Society has 27 new altered cats available for adoption.
These cats have been completely vetted, altered and are ready to go into new homes. Now is the time to adopt, because all of their vetting is done and they will need no vaccinations for a whole year! We have many to pick from, so come visit our kitties now and take one home!
The Central Aroostook Kennel Club will be offering the following testing for dogs: Certification of Therapy dog and the Canine Good Citizen Test:
• Therapy Dog International (TDI) (All dogs welcome. Canadian dogs can also be certified): Tester Robi Boulier of Tail Waggin Training Center. $15.
• Canine Good Citizen (CGC) (All dogs welcome): Tester Robi and Lynn Boulier of Tail Waggin Training Center. $15.
The training will be held on Saturday, Oct. 22, by appointment, spectators welcome, at the Presque Isle Inn & Convention Center, 116 Main St., Presque Isle (Route 1 south of Presque Isle).
To sign up and make an appointment contact Lisa Obstfeld at dogsnglass@hotmail.com or 764-7651.
To review test requirements visit: For Therapy Dog — http://tdi-dog.org or for AKC’s Canine Good Citizen, www.akc.org.
This is really good stuff; my dog Rusty passed his CGC years ago. The test is simple if you have done your homework with your dog. It is fun and it is pretty neat to see if your dog is a “good citizen.” Don’t miss this opportunity!
Oct. 8-9 the craft fair will be held at the Presque Isle Forum and the Central Aroostook Humane Society will be there with many neat things to sell and a raffle. We again have another handmade dollhouse to sell tickets on; this one is bigger and better than last year! We will begin selling tickets at the Forum during the craft fair. There are also many other hand-crafted items, so please be sure to stop by and visit us!
Then on Oct. 22 and 23 we will be at the Caribou craft fair — again selling raffle tickets on the lovely dollhouse and many other items! We hope to raise awareness and funds, so please stop by and say “Hi.”
