Cousins, Wayne B. – Caribou, 61, September 23, 2011. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 29, at 3 p.m. in Wayne’s Barn located at 154 Westgate Road, Caribou.
CARIBOU – Wayne B. Cousins, 61, passed away at his home, on Friday, September 23, 2011. Wayne was born in Portland on January 11, 1950, the son of Clarence and Elizabeth (Lagasse) Cousins.
Wayne retired as a Sgt. First Class after spending twenty years with the U.S. Army. Wayne was very proud of his service to his country. In addition to being stationed in South Korea and the Pentagon, he served in the Vietnam War. He was a member of the Caribou VFW and the American Legion. While in the Army, he earned his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, as well as a degree in Culinary Arts. Most recently Wayne was a Culinary Arts Instructor at the Loring Job Corps. He loved working with the students there, and was loved by all.
Wayne is survived by his best friend and first wife, Ula Cousins, children, Pamela-Gail Howard and her husband Trevor of NH, Wayne B. Cousins Jr. of Belfast, Matthew E. Cousins of N.H., Elizabeth M. Daggett of Belfast, Howard Maguire, and Michael Maguire of MA. He leaves behind grandchildren Wayne, Peter, Kassandra, Abigail and Christian. He is also survived by many brothers and sisters, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Wayne was predeceased by his second wife Dianne Schneider.
Friends and family called on Tuesday, September 27, from 6-9 p.m. at Lancaster Morgan Funeral Home, 11 Clover Street, Caribou. A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 29, at 3 p.m. in Wayne’s Barn located at 154 Westgate Road, Caribou.
