PRESQUE ISLE — Shawn N. McCausland, 38, of Presque Isle, is heading to court, following his arrest on multiple charges stemming from an incident at a local restaurant.
The Presque Isle Police Department received a call from a woman working at the Mai Tai on Main Street on Sept. 12 around 9:37 p.m. requesting officers’ assistance with an unruly customer she’d just asked to leave the bar. The man was later identified as McCausland. After serving him one beer she indicated to police that she noticed his level of intoxication and thus refused to serve him again.
Officers Kevin Reed and Peter Johnson responded. Upon arrival, McCausaland was argumentative and aggressive with officers. According to the police log, the man was disarmed of a pool cue and arrested and charged with: criminal trespass, disorderly conduct, refusal to submit to arrest, failure to give correct name, address or date of birth and refusing to sign the summons.
Bail was set at $250 cash or $750 surety, with conditions. McCausland is scheduled to appear in Presque Isle District Court on Nov. 2.
